About the role

A leading company in the chemicals and mining industry is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead procurement strategy, supplier relationships, and sourcing activities across its operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage local and international sourcing, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Oversee the full procurement cycle, from purchase requisitions to delivery.
• Manage procurement of raw materials, machinery spare parts, and operational supplies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
• Monitor procurement KPIs, supplier performance, lead times, and purchasing costs.
• Ensure procurement compliance, manage supply risks, and lead the procurement team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree is an advantage.
• 10–15 years of procurement experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in local and international procurement within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong expertise in sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• High integrity and very good command of English.
