About the role

Manage and monitor daily accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, prepare financial reports, and support management with reliable financial data for decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily journal entries for expenses, revenues, purchases, sales, assets, and liabilities.
• Post transactions to appropriate ledgers and review general ledger and sub-ledger balances.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Monitor cash and petty cash transactions, including receipts and payments.
• Review supplier invoices and payments and follow up on settlement of dues.
• Follow up customer accounts, issue invoices, and monitor collections and outstanding balances.
• Prepare tax returns and support compliance with VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Prepare periodic reports on revenues, expenses, financial position, and budget variances.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Review accounting documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper filing.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide documentation.
• Contribute to improving financial procedures and internal controls.
• Perform other accounting duties assigned by the direct manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of proven experience in general accounting.
• Experience in private sector, trading, or manufacturing companies preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as ERP, Odoo, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Good understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
