About the role
A leading company in the chemicals and mining industry is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join its finance team in Cairo.
Key responsibilities
- Manage customer accounts and maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
- Prepare and review customer invoices, account statements, and payment records.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Record customer receipts and ensure accurate allocation of payments.
- Prepare accounts receivable aging reports and periodic financial reports.
- Coordinate with sales and other departments to resolve customer account issues.
- Support month-end closing and ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable or customer accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, customer reconciliations, and collections follow-up.
- Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in accounting or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
